European Union and United Nations - position of the EU in these relations

Abstract:

Cílem práce je hodnocení vztahů Evropské unie a OSN a vzájemné spolupráce, zaměří se na analýzu, do jaké míry je EU schopná ovlivňovat dění na půdě Valného shromáždění a Rady bezpečnosti. Zkoumané téma tvoří také otázka, zda státy EU jednají jednotně v OSN a posilují tím její pozici. Práce hodnotí uvedením několika příkladů, do jaké míry je EU schopná prosadit své zájmy na půdě OSN v konkrétních oblastech.

Abstract:

The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate relations and cooperation of the EU and the UN. It focuses on analyzing the extent to which the EU is able to influence events in the General Assembly and the Security Council. Researched topic is also the question whether the EU member states act uniformly and strengthen the EU´s position. On several examples it evaluates the ability of the EU to promote its interests at the UN in particular areas.
