Credibility theory in actuarial mathematics

Abstract:

In this bachelor’s thesis we will analyze the credibility theory, with which we can determine or adjust the amount of insurance premiums. First, we will indentify the Bayesian methods, which we will need to master the next chapters. Second, we will focus on the limited fluctuation credibility theory and the greatest accuracy credibility, where we will explain the individual models and types of premiums. We pay attention to the solved examples, in which we will use the acquired knowledge to calculate this premium. Finally, we will focus on determining a posteriori corrections of premiums for individual risk groups, which we will receive using the Poisson-Gamma credibility model and the expected annual claim frequency.

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci si rozebereme teorii kredibility, s jejíž pomocí můžeme určit anebo upravit výšku pojistného. Nejprve se seznámíme s potřebnou terminologií Bayesovských metod, které budeme potřebovat ke zvládnutí dalších kapitol. Následně se budeme věnovat teorii omezených fluktuací a teorii optimální kredibility, kde si vysvětlíme jednotlivé modely a druhy pojistného. Pozornost věnujeme řešeným příkladům, ve kterých použijeme získané poznatky na výpočet tohoto pojistného. V závěru určíme aposteriorní korekce pojistného pro jednotlivé rizikové skupiny, které dostaneme pomocí Poissonova-Gama kredibilního modelu a očekávané roční frekvenci pojistných událostí.
