The Egerland - a literary and cultural characteristic of the region

Abstract:

This thesis summarizes the lyrical poetry and prose of german writers from Egerland. In this thesis I try to report about the whole Egerland and about the german literature from czech territory too. In a short characterization I introduce literary personalities from Egerland and their work. I add a short description about the history of Egerland. The thesis ends with the chapter about J. W. von Goethe and his visit in Egerland.

Abstract:

Tato práce shrnuje lyriku a prózu egerlandských autorů, kteří psali spisovnou němčinou nebo dialektem. V práci se snažím podat i dalekosáhlý pohled na Egerlandsko a obecně na sudetskou literaturu. V krátké charakteristice představuji egerlandské osobnosti a jejich díla. Snažím se popsat celé rozpětí jejich literárního díla a života. K tomu ještě přidávám krátký dějepisný popis Sudet a Egerlandska. Práce je uzavřena kapitolou o návštěvě slavného básníka J. W. von Goetha v tomto kraji a jeho vlivu na tehdejší regionální literární tvorbu.
