Voronoi diagrams in molecular chemistry
Abstract:
Hledání a analýza tunelů v molekulách proteinů je velice důležitou oblastí výzkumu v molekulární chemii. Existence tunelů určuje významné chemické vlastnosti, především schopnost ostatních molekul vstupovat do proteinu a vyvolávat chemické reakce. Tato práce se zabývá vlastnostmi a konstrukcí Voroného diagramů a jejich využitím pro hledání tunelů v proteinech.

Searching for tunnels in protein molecules is very important issue in molecular chemistry. Given certain position inside protein model represented by set of spheres in three-dimensional space, the task is to find tunnels to the outer surface of protein model with maximum width and appropriate length.
