Quality of Life of Children with Allergies

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit kvalitu života dětí s alergiemi, jejich subjektivní vnímání kvality života a zdraví, jejich spokojenost s rodinou, volným časem, kamarády, školou a učením a především spokojenost se sebou samým. Metodika: Výzkum byl proveden pomocí standardizovaného dotazníku KIDSCREEN- 27 Dotazník o zdraví pro děti a mládež, který je určen dětem a dospívajícím od 8 do 18 let a dále pomocí vlastního nestandardizovaného dotazníku pro získání informací o alergii. Výzkum probíhal v období od března do listopadu 2011 v alergologické ambulanci pro děti a dorost MUDr. Stuchlíkové ve Frýdku-Místku. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo celkem 157 dětí s alergií. K vyhodnocení výsledků byly použity Studentovy t-testy, Fisherův F-test a Pearsonův korelační koeficient. Analýza získaných dat byla prováděna na hladině statistické významnosti 0,05 (5 %). Výsledky: Z výzkumného šetření vyplývá, že kvalita života dětí s alergiemi je snížena v doménách ?Fyzická aktivita a zdraví? a ?Celková nálada a pocity ze sebe? kde je T ? skóre sníženo pod hodnotu 50. V ostatních doménách ?Rodina a volný čas?, ?Kamarádi? a ?Škola a učení? se T ? skóre pohybovalo nad hodnotou 50 a nedošlo tedy ke snížení kvality života dětí s alergiemi. Při hodnocení kvality života dětí s alergiemi podle pohlaví, bydliště a věkových skupin nebyl nalezen statisticky významný rozdíl. Dále byl zjištěn vztah mezi problémy, které vyvolává alergie a doménou ?Fyzická aktivita a zdraví?. Závěr: Kvalita života dětí s alergiemi je nejvíce snížená v doméně ?Fyzická aktivita a zdraví?. Pro děti je velmi podstatné, aby se v této doméně cítili v dobré kondici, neboť právě zdraví je důležitým faktorem, který se odráží v hodnocení nejen kvality života.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of the research was to determine the quality of life of children with allergies, their subjective perception of quality of life, their satisfaction with family, leisure time, friends, school and learning, and especially self-satisfaction. Methodology: The research was carried out using a standardized questionnaire KIDSCREEN-27 Health-Related Quality of Life Questionnaire for Children and Young People, which is aimed at children and adolescents from 8 to 18 years and then further by my own nonstandardized questionnaire to obtain information about allergies. The research took place in the period from March to November 2011 at allergologically ambulance for children and adolescents of MUDr. Stuchlíková in Frýdek-Místek. The research sample consisted of 157 children with allergies. For evaluation of the results were used Student's t-test, Fisher's F-test and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Analysis the data obtained was carried on the level of statistical significance of 0.05 (5%). Results: Results: The research survey shows that the quality of life of children with allergies is reduced in domains "Physical Activity and Health" and "Overall mood and sense of self" where T - score is reduced below the value of 50. In other domains, "Family and Leisure," "Friends" and "School and learning" the T - scores fluctuated above 50 and there was therefore no reduction in quality of life for children with allergies. When evaluating the quality of life of children with allergies by gender, place of residence and age groups there was no statistically significant difference. Furthermore there was observed relationship between problems caused by allergies and domain "Physical Activity and Health". Conslusion: The quality of life of children with allergies is most reduced in the domain "Physical Activity and Health". For children it is very essential to feel in good shape especially in this domain, since health is an important factor, which is reflected not only in the assessment of quality of life.
