This bachelor's thesis will deal with the current status of gramophone records in connection with other digital and analogue media on the turn of the 20th and 21st cetury. The aim of the thesis is to explain and elucidate the reasons for the prevailing popularity of this analogue medium even after the mass introduction of compact disks in the age driven by new media and technologies. Táto bakalárska práca sa bude zaoberať otázkou postavenia gramofónových platní v súvislosti s ostatnými digitálnymi aj analógovými médiami na prelome 20. a 21. storočia. Cieľom práce je objasniť a uzrejmiť dôvody pretvávajúcej popularity tohoto analógového média v dnešnej novomediálnej dobe a to aj po masovom nástupe kompaktných diskov.
