Cultural tourism in Cheb

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá studiem kulturně-poznávacího cestovního ruchu ve městě Cheb. Jsou popsány základní teoretická východiska jako cestovní ruch, kulturně-poznávací cestovní ruch a jeho pozitivní a negativní dopady. Dále je představeno město Cheb a jeho vybrané kulturní památky a akce. V praktické části práce jsou vyhodnoceny výsledky výzkumu kulturně-poznávacího cestovního ruchu v Chebu, který byl proveden na základě dotazníkového šetření. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjištění převládajícího motivu k návštěvě města a zjištění spokojenosti respondentů s navštívenými atraktivitami, akcemi a určitými aspekty města. Výzkum byl zaměřený na respondenty návštěvníky a respondenty rezidenty, kde byly hledány rozdíly v jejich hodnocení. Hlavní motivy k navštívení Chebu jsou poznání a historie a rekreace a odpočinek. Při hodnocení určitých charakteristik města převládalo kladnější hodnocení od návštěvníků před rezidenty. Největší rozdíly ve spokojenosti návštěvníků a rezidentů bylo v hodnocení vzhledu budov, čistoty prostředí, bezpečnosti, nákupních možnostech a úrovni restaurací a kaváren. V návaznosti na výsledky výzkumu jsou navržena opatření, která se týkají především marketingové komunikace. Jedním z doporučení je také realizace projektu Kulturně-zábavné léto v Chebu, který by mohl do místa přilákat více návštěvníků.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with research of cultural tourism in Cheb. In the thesis there are described basic theoretical groundworks such as tourism, cultural tourism and its positive and negative impacts. The town Cheb and its selected cultural sights and events are presented further. In the practical part of the thesis, there are evaluate research results of cultural tourism in Cheb. This research was implemented through questionnaire method. The objective of the research was to find out the main motive for visiting the town and then to find out satisfaction of respondents with the visited attractiveness, events and definite aspects of the town. The research was focused on respondents visitors and respondents residents, there were looked into differences in their assessment in the research. The main motives for visiting Cheb are cognition and history and recreation and relaxation. When evaluating definite characteristics of the town, more positive reviews from visitors were predominating. The greatest differences in satisfaction of visitors and residents were in appearance of the buildings, cleanliness of the environment, safety, purchase possibilities and standard of restaurants and cafes. Following the results of the research, there are suggested measures which bear on primarily to marketing communications. One of the recommendations is also to create a project called Culture and entertaining summer in Cheb, it could attract more visitors into this place.
