Personal and social characteristics of profesional drivers

Abstract:

Tato studie rešeršním způsobem shrnuje nejdůležitější dosavadní poznatky týkající se profesionálních i běžných řidičů v rámci psychologie osobnosti, sociální a kognitivní psychologie, jejich diagnostiky a psychologických příčin nehodovosti a postihuje rozporuplnost zkoumaných vztahů. Cílem diplomové práce je potvrzení předpokládaných vztahů osobnostních vlastností a míry nehodovosti, zjištění vlivu řidičské historie a vytvoření rovnice, která by počítala změnu v pravděpodobnosti nehody v čase. Výzkumný soubor se skládal z dvou podsouborů, jeden tvoří řidiči DPMB a druhý řidiči DPMO. Bylo prokázáno, že zaviněná nehodovost klesá s rostoucím věkem i počtem profesionální praxe, zatímco nezaviněná i celková nehodovost s věkem a praxí nesouvisí. Dále byla zjištěna nezávislost celkové nehodovosti na sociálních charaktertistikách „stav“ a „počet dětí“. Souvislost vybraných osobnostních subškál z osobnostních dotazníků SPIDO a BIP nebyla shledána jako signifikantní. Nejvýznamnějším zjištěním je možnost modelovat pomocí logistické regrese pravděpodobnost nehody u konkrétních proměnných a její změnu v čase.

Abstract:

This study summarizes by retrieval method the most important information about knowledge of both professional and ordinary drivers in frame of personal psychology, social and cognitive psychology, their diagnostic and psychological reasons of accidents and affects the inconsistency of investigated relationships. The thesis aims to confirm the expected relationship between personal characteristics and the accident rate, determine the effect of driving history and create a formula that would allow to count a change in the probability of an accident in time. The research sample is consisted of two subgroups, one consists of the drivers from DPMB and other drivers from DPMO. It was shown that the rate of culpable accidents decreases with increasing age and number of professional practice, while accidental and the overall accident rate with age and experience are not related. There was also observed independent of total accidents rate on the social characteristic "state" and "number of children". The relationship of selected personality subscales from personality questionnaires BIP and SPIDO was found to be not significant. The most important finding is the possibility of using logistic regression to model of the likelihood of an accident which depend on specific variables and their change over time.
