Theory and psychology of colour in Internet communication

Abstract:

Internet's position in society is constantly becoming stronger. It is no more a static tool for searching information only, it is becoming an integral part of our lives. Therefore, this virtual environment needs to be designed with focus on user's comfort and convenience. And appropriate colors have a great influence in this case. The purpose of this thesis is to acquaint the reader with theory and psychology of color and he will learn about advanced approaches as well. The application Maestrico helps the user to select attractive and ergonomic color schemes.

Abstract:

Internet si buduje neustále silnejšie postavenie v spoločnosti. Už to nie je len statický nástroj na vyhľadávanie informácií, stáva sa neoddeliteľnou súčasťou našich životov. Preto je potrebné toto virtuálne prostredie navrhovať tak, aby sa v ňom užívateľ cítil príjemne a pohodlne. A vhodné farby majú v tomto prípade obrovský vplyv. Účelom tejto práce je zoznámiť čitateľa s teóriou a psychológiou farieb, dozvie sa v nej aj o pokročilých prístupoch. Výsledná aplikácia Maestrico pomáha užívateľovi k výberu atraktívnych a ergonomických farebných schém.
