Abstract:

Skladatel českého původu Ignác Václav Rafael, který žil ve druhé polovině 18. století v Praze, Budapešti a Vídni je dnes poněkud opomíjen. Svou prací jsem se proto pokusila přispět k současnému stavu situace diplomatickou edicí jeho skladby Variationi per il Clavi Cembalo dochované v Oddělení rukopisů a starých tisků Moravské zemské knihovny v Brně. Nedílnou součástí edice skladby je ediční zpráva s detailním popisem pramene. Na základě dosavadního stavu bádání o Rafaelovi je zde vytvořen jeho stručný životopis a soupis jeho veškerých známých děl. Tento soupis je doplněn o dochované exempláře zavedené v katalozích OEML a RISM. V této práci je také věnována kapitola hudebnímu životu v Praze a Vídni za dob Rafaelova tamního působení, se zvláštním přihlédnutím ke skladatelské tvorbě pro klavír. Krátce je zde pojednáno o variační formě.

Abstract:

Ignác Václav Rafael was a composer with Czech roots who lived in the second half of the 18th century in Prague, Budapest and Vienna. It could be said that his work has now been somewhat forgotten. I have tried to change that by creating a diplomatic edition of his “Variationi per il Clavi Cembalo” composition (which can be found at the Department of Manuscripts and Rare Books of the Moravian Library in Brno). An editional report with a detailed description of the source is an integral part of a composition edition. I created a brief biography and a list of all Rafael’s known works based on the information available from the current research. This list is supplemented by the preserved specimens introduced in the OEML and RISM catalogs. I also devoted one chapter to the musical life in Prague and Vienna during the time that Rafael was active there, with particular focus on the composer's works for piano.
