Historie čínských investic v Africe není příliš dlouhá, ale vzbuzuje mnoho diskusí. Jedná se jejich netransparentnosti nebo o matoucí rozsah. Některé názory přinášejí pohled přínosu čínských investic pro Afriku, některé argumentují, že se jedná o nový fenomén.
