Negative effects of mass media influence on the mental development of children

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the impact of media on children's psychological development. It consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is based on the literature addressing this issue. The first chapter describes the concepts associated with the media, also described the effects of media on individuals and clarified the definitions of traditional bullying and cyberbullying. The theoretical part is followed by a practical part of the research prebiehjúcom in primary schools and primary schools with extended teaching of languages in the city of Opava. The main objective was to map quantitative method to compare the incidence of cyberbullying and the phenomenon and related phenomena between the two types of schools. Partial objectives deal with the protagonists of cyberbullying, cyberbullying resources, types of victims and aggressors, and not least the accompanying phenomena such as frequency of operations associated with the use of the Internet or defensive strategy. Target aims to map the protagonists and, in addition to funds related to cyberbullying and traditional bullying. A summary of the information is identified by the end of practice.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa venuje vplyvu masmédií na psychický vývoj detí. Pozostáva z dvoch častí, teoretickej a praktickej. Teoretická časť vychádza z odbornej literatúry venujúcej sa tejto problematike. V prvej kapitole sú charakterizované pojmy súvisiace s médiami, ďaľej sú popísané vplyvy médií na jedincov a bližšie vysvetlené pojmy tradičná šikana a kyberšikana. Na teoretickú časť naväzuje praktická časť s výskumom prebiehjúcom na základných školách a základných školách s rozšírenou výukou jazykov v meste Opava. Hlavným cieľom bolo kvantitatívnou metódou zmapovať výskyt kyberšikany a porovnať tento jav a súvisiace javy medzi oboma typmi škôl. Dielčie ciele sa zaoberajú protagonistami kyberšikany, prostriedkami kyberšikany, typmi obetí a agresorov a v neposlednej rade aj doprovodnými javmi ako frekvencia činností spojených s užívaním internetu alebo obranné stratégie. Cieľ zameraný na zmapovanie protagonistov a prostriedkov sa okrem kyberšikany týkal aj tradičnej šikany. Zhrnutie výsledkov zistených informácií tvorí záver praktickej časti.
