Burn-out syndrome prevention of social educators from pedagogically-psychological centres

Abstract:

The diploma thesis describes the problematics of burn-out syndrome prevention of social educators from pedagogically-psychologic centres. The thesis is divided in two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part presents the established knowledge on the burn-out syndrome phenomenon. It focuses on the characteristics of burn-out, distinguishes between burn-out syndrome and other negative psycho-logical states, the factors of the origin, it describes the symptoms and phases of the burn-out and also the consequences on an individual. Empirical part focuses on the methodology and research investigation. The aim of this thesis is to find out and de-scribe social educators from pedagogically-psychologic centres and how they act preventively against the onset of burn-out syndrome. The research of burn-out pre-vention is aimed on the individual and working level, which means what kind of pre-ventive strategies social educators use in their non-working time, which strategies uses their employer and which strategies social educators as individuals in their working time and space and which of them are the most effective.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca popisuje problematiku prevencie syndrómu vyhorenia sociálnych pedagógov z pedagogicko-psychologických poradní. Práca je rozdelená na dve časti – teoretickú a empirickú. Teoretická časť zhromažďuje už prebádané poznatky o fe-noméne syndrómu vyhorenia. Zameriava sa na charakteristiku vyhorenia, porov-nanie vyhorenia s ostatnými negatívnymi psychickými stavmi, faktory jeho vzniku, príznakmi a prejavmi vyhorenia a v neposlednom rade fázami a následkami syn-drómu vyhorenia na jedinca. Empirická časť sa venuje metodológii a výskumnému šetreniu. Cieľom práce bolo zistiť a popísať ako sociálni pedagógovia z pedagogicko-psychologických poradní preventívne pôsobia proti syndrómu vyhorenia. Výskum prevencie je zameraný najmä na osobnú a pracovnú úroveň sociálneho pedagóga, tj. aké preventívne opatrenia pred vyhorením podniká vo svojom mimopracovnom ča-se, aké preventívne techniky volí v zamestnaní a aké preventívne opatrenia mu po-skytuje zamestnávateľ, a ktoré zo všetkých opatrení mu ako jednotlivcovi fungujú najefektívnejšie.
