Institutional care facilities and the rights and duties of children in their care

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se snaží prezentovat systém náhradní péče, respektive zmapovat síť zařízeních institucionální péče pro děti v České republice a také prezentovat práva a povinnosti dětí, a to jednak z hlediska historie vývoje práv a jednak také přiblížit tuto problematiku v souvislosti s právy a povinnostmi, které jsou dětem, umístěným v zařízeních institucionální péče dle zákonných norem vymezeny. Na teoretickou část navazuje aplikační část, tedy návrh kvantitativního výzkumu, který je zaměřen na práva a povinnosti dětí v ústavní péči. Nastaveným dotazníkovým šetřením jsou získány informace od dětí umístěných v konkrétním zařízení institucionální péče, a to prostřednictvím předvýzkumu. Na základě výsledků z předvýzkumu jsou ověřeny předem stanovené hypotézy, shrnuty výsledky a také vytvořeny doporučení pro další uplatnění tohoto návrhu v praxi.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis tries to present the system of custody, more precisely map a network of facilities of institutional care for children in the Czech Republic and also present children´s rights and obligations for one thing in terms of history of law development and for another give everybody an idea of these problems in connection with laws and obligations which are defined to children placed in facilities of institutional care by law. The theoretical part is followed by the practical part, a suggestion of quantitative research, which is focused on children´s rights and obligations in institutional care. With the help of adjusted questionnaire we gain information from children placed in a particular facility of institutional care, namely by means of a pre-research. On the basis of the results from the pre-research are verified pre-defined hypotheses and summed up these results and there is also a recommendation for further use of this suggestion in practice.
