Hussites and Jan Jiskra z Brandýsa in the history of central Slovakia
Abstract:
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the activity of the Hussites and Jan Jiskra of Brandýs (c. 1400 – c. 1469) in the area of central Slovakia with the focus on mining towns in the 15th century. It also deals with Jiskra‘s person and his role as the defender of the rights of succession of Ladislas V. Posthumus. Emphasis is put on the military-political history of central Slovakia.
Abstract:
Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá pôsobením husitov a Jana Jiskru z Brandýsa (cca. 1400 – cca. 1469) v oblasti stredného Slovenska so zameraním na banské mestá v 15. storočí. Zároveň sa venuje osobe, životu a úlohe Jiskru ako obrancu nástupníckych práv Ladislava V. Pohrobka. Dôraz práce je kladený na vojensko-politické dejiny stredného Slovenska.
