The Adaptation Process in Perioperative Care for Nurses Working at Department of Neurosurgery.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce na téma Adaptační proces v perioperační péči na neurochirurgii se zaměřuje na problematiku průběhu a zakončení adaptačního procesu nových sester v perioperační péči na neurochirurgických operačních sálech. Teoretická část se zabývá východisky pro část průzkumnou. První část je zaměřena na základní pojmy perioperační péče a perioperační sestra. V druhé části je popsán adaptační proces ve zdravotnictví, jeho průběh, motivace, nástroje řízení adaptačního procesu a jeho možná rizika. V poslední, třetí, části teoretického rozboru jsou popsána specifika perioperační péče na neurochirurgii. Praktická část práce je realizována pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu, jehož se zúčastnilo osm perioperačních sester, které v posledních dvou letech absolvovaly adaptační proces na neurochirurgických operačních sálech. Data byla získána pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a následně byla podrobena obsahové analýze a otevřenému kódování. Cílem práce je identifikování a popsání překážek a úskalí v adaptačním procesu sester během jejich zapracování na neurochirurgických operačních sálech a doporučení pro praxi.

Abstract:

This thesis on Adaptation process in perioperative care in neurosurgery focuses on the process itself and the end of the adaptation process of newly recruited nurses in perioperative care in neurosurgical operating theatres. The theoretical part deals with the background for the research part. Its initial section focuses on the basic concepts of perioperative care and the perioperative nurse. The second part describes the adaptation process in healthcare, its course, motivation, tools for managing the adaptation process and its possible threats. The last, third, part of the theoretical background describes the specifics of perioperative care in neurosurgery. The practical part of the thesis is carried out by means of qualitative research in which eight perioperative nurses who completed the adaptation process in neurosurgical operating rooms in the last two years participated. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and then subjected to content analysis and open coding. The aim of the study is to identify and describe the barriers and pitfalls in the nurses' adaptation process during their integration in neurosurgical operating theatres and to provide recommendations for practice.
