Astrophysics of supernovae

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této práce je studium analytického řešení rané fáze světelných křivek supernov, jmenovitě pak supernov typu Ia. První část práce uvádí základní fakta a popisuje teoretická východiska. Na základě detailního fyzikálního odvození je nejprve vyjádřena obecná rovnice bolometrické světelné křivky, zahrnující rovněž účinky radioaktivního rozpadu syntetizovaných prvků, dále je pak zkonstruován model atmosfér supernov typu Ia pomocí aproximace absolutně černým tělesem, umožňující volbu parametrů, nezávislý na vzdálenosti. Následným porovnáním takto získaných teoretických světelných křivek, nejen bolometrických, ale i v různých barvách, se skutečně pozorovanými světelnými křivkami dvou vybraných supernov, lze odhadnout jejich základní charakteristiky, zejména počáteční množství syntetizovaného 56Ni, energii exploze, maximální celkový zářivý výkon, rychlost rozpínání, vzdálenost.

Abstract:

The main task of this work is to study the early phase of the analytic light curves of supernovae, especially those of the type Ia. The first part sets out the basic facts and describes the theoretical background. On the basis of a detailed physical derivation is first expressed the general equation of bolometric light curve, which also includes the effects of radioactive decay of newly synthesized elements, then the distance independent model of atmospheres of the type Ia supernovae in blackbody approximation, allowing the choice of parameters, is constructed. The following comparison of obtained theoretical light curves, not only bolometric, but also in different photometric colors, with observed light curves of two selected supernovae enables to estimate their basic characteristics, namely initial amount of synthesized 56Ni, explosion energy, maximum luminosity, distance.
