The influence of physiotherapy on walking in patients suffering from Parkinson´s disease

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá výskytem poruch chůze u osob trpící Parkinsonovou nemocí a možností jejich ovlivnění pomocí léčebných metod fyzioterapie. V teoretické části jsou popsány charakteristické znaky Parkinsonovy nemoci, anatomické, fyziologické a patofyziologické poznatky, diagnóza a možnosti léčby nemoci. Dále navazují teoretické poznatky analýzy chůze. V závěru teoretické části je rozebrána analýza chůze u pacientů s tímto onemocněním. Praktická část obsahuje možnou léčebnou terapii a dvě kazuistiky osob s diagnostikovanou Parkinsonovou nemocí. Tito dva pacienti podstoupili vstupní vyšetření pomocí šesti minutového testu chůze, dynamického indexu chůze a funkčního vyšetření chůze. Následně absolvovali intenzivní měsíční terapie v Lázních Darkov, která se skládala z individuální fyzioterapie, skupinového cvičení a balneoterapie. Na konci lázeňského pobytu byli pacienti znovu vyšetřeni pomocí výše uvedených testů. Výsledky testů a hodnocení vlivu terapie jsou popsány v závěrečné diskuzi.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is dealing with an occurrence of walking defects on Parkinson´s Disease patients and possibilities of its affection with the help of therapeutic methods of physiotherapy. In the theoretical part there is a description of a characteristic signs of a Parkinson´s Disease then anatomical, physiological and pathophysiological facts, diagnosis and eventually options of a treatment of the disease. Furthermore there are some theoretical knowledge of a walking analysis. At the end of the theoretical part there is a despcription of a walking analysis which occurs in patients suffering from the Parkinson´s Disease. The practical part contains the potential medical therapy and two casuistries of two patients who were diagnosed with the Parkinson´s Disease. Those two patients underwent the entrance examinations in accordance with a six minutes test of walking, dynamical index of walking and functional examination of walking. Subsequently those patients had to pass out an intensive one month treatment in Spa Darkov. This treatment was consisted of the individual physiotherapy, group physical exercises and balenotherapy. At the end of the spa treatment stay the patients were examined once more in accordance with the same tests as previously. The results of the tests and the final assessment of the affection of the treatment are described in the final discussion.
