Cash management and its application

Abstract:

The master thesis „Cash management and its application“ deals with the management of company´s cash balances through cash management products of banks. The aim of the thesis is to introduce and demonstrate benefits of these services. We put emphasis on the key product - cash pooling. Description of the theoretical framework of cash and cash management is present at the beginning of the thesis. Core work is dedicated to the introduction and analysis of main types of cash pooling. At the end we set up a cash pool in a fictional company and assess the application effects on interest costs and short-term credit needs of the company.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca „Cash management a jeho využití“ sa zaoberá riadením hotovosti podnikov prostredníctvom bankových produktov cash managementu. Cieľom práce je ich predstavenie a preukázanie výhodnosti ich používania. Dôraz kladieme na kľúčový produkt - cash pooling. Úvod práce je venovaný teoretickému rámcu hotovosti a jej riadenia. Jadro tvorí predstavenie a analýza hlavných typov cash poolingu. V závere je cash pooling aplikovaný na fiktívny podnik a je vyhodnotený efekt jeho zavedenia na úrokové náklady a krátkodobé úverové potreby podniku.
