ICT in adult education from the perspective of PC retraining courses participants

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je analýza postojů účastníků vybraných ICT rekvalifikačních kurzů v Ústí nad Labem k moderním technologiím ve vzdělávání a učení, za účelem zvýšení efektivity pracovního procesu. Dílčím cílem bude zjištění, jaký význam a hodnotu mají ICT rekvalifikační kurzy pro účastníky a zda lze za pomoci rekvalifikací najít uplatnění na současném pracovním trhu. Práce bude zaměřena na problematiku informačních a komunikačních technologií (ICT) v životě dospělých. Především se zaměříme na závažný problém informační společnosti, který se nazývá "digitální propast". Dále se zaměříme na názory respondentů ohledně ICT ve vzdělávání, na jejich motivaci a překážky, které jim brání. Jakou má pro ně ICT ve vzdělávání hodnotu a význam, přestože jsou již v pracovním procesu. Práce bude obsahovat část, teoretickou, která bude zaměřena na vznik a rozvoj moderní technologie ve vzdělávání a učení, bude se věnovat potřebám a postavení dospělých v současné době. Druhou pak bude výzkumná část, která se bude soustřeďovat na kvalitativní výzkum v této oblasti. Bude použita metoda polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, kdy se na základě výpovědí vybraných respondentů ohrožených "digitální propastí" zaměříme na hlavní motivy, které je do kurzu přivedly a bariéry, které jim naopak překážely při překonávání této novodobé podoby sociálního vyloučení. Dále se také prostřednictvím odpovědí pracovníků ICT kurzů zaměříme na dostupnost a možnost přístupu zaregistrování se na rekvalifikační kurzy.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the attitudes of the participants of selected ICT retraining courses in Ústí nad Labem towards modern technologies in education and learning, in order to increase the efficiency of the work process. A partial goal will be to find out what significance and value ICT retraining courses have for the participants and whether it is possible to find employment in the current labor market with the help of retraining. The work will be focused on the issue of information and communication techno-logies (ICT) in the lives of adults. First of all, we will focus on a serious problem of the information society, which is called the "digital divide". Next, we will focus on respondents' opinions regarding ICT in education, on their motivation and the obstacles that prevent them. What is the value of ICT in education for them and meaning, even though they are already in the work process. The thesis will contain a theoretical part, which will be focused on creation and the development of modern technology in education and learning, will address the needs and the status of adults today. The second will be the research part, which will focus on qualitative research in this area. The method of semi-structured interviews will be used, where, based on the statements of selected respondents threatened by the "digital divide", we will focus on the main motives that they were brought to the course by the barriers that, on the contrary, preven-ted them from overcoming this modern form of social exclusion. Furthermore, through the answers of ICT course staff, we will focus on the availability and the possibility of access to register for retraining courses.
