Cultural Policy In Turkey

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce shrnuje základní aspekty turecké kulturní politiky. Zdůrazňuje diverzitu země, kontrast mezi vlivem muslimských i evropských hodnot a problematiku menšin. Práce přibližuje komplikovaný a zdlouhavý proces tvorby kulturní politiky, která v zemi dodnes není oficiálně vydána. Popisuje roli státních i neziskových a soukromých kulturních organizací v jednotlivých sektorech kultury. Shrnuje dostupná data, zaměřuje se především na podporu a financování kultury a umění. Popisuje také mezinárodní kulturní spolupráci a dopad cestovního ruchu.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis summarizes the main aspects of the Turkish cultural policy. It emphasizes the diversity of the country, the contrast between the Muslim and the European influence, and the issue of minorities. The thesis approaches the complicated and lengthy process of the creation of the cultural policy, which has not been officially released in the country yet. It describes the involvement of state and even non-profit and private cultural organizations in each cultural sector. It summarizes available facts and focuses especially on the support and the funding for the culture and arts. The thesis also describes the international cultural cooperation and the impact of the tourism.
