Diversity of arable field weed vegetation in the vicinity of Znojmo

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá plevelovou vegetací a flórou jihovýchodního Znojemska, jež nebyly doposud systematicky studovány. Výzkum probíhal během vegetačních sezón 2010–2012. Práce je strukturována do tří dílčích okruhů. V první části bylo analyzováno 103 fytocenologických snímků pro zjištění diverzity plevelové vegetace. Pomocí modifikovaného algoritmu TWINSPAN byla studovaná vegetace rozdělena do pěti skupin, pro něž byly stanoveny diagnostické, konstantní a dominantní druhy. Jednotlivé skupiny byly pak následně charakterizovány. Jako hlavní gradient ve druhovém složení plevelové vegetace byl na základě výsledků DCA interpretován společný gradient změny sezóny a typu plodiny. Stěžejním cílem práce bylo zjistit, které faktory mají vliv na druhovou bohatost a druhové složení plevelové vegetace na okraji a uprostřed pole. K tomuto srovnání bylo použito 103 dvojic fytocenologických snímků. Ze srovnání vyplynulo, že okraje polí jsou druhově bohatší oproti jejich středům. Z růstových forem se na okraji pole častěji vyskytují geofyty a hemikryptofyty oproti středu, kde se uplatňují především terofyty. Nejčastější životní strategií pro střed pole se ukázala CS-strategie. Zbylé strategie zastoupené v datovém souboru se vesměs s větší pravděpodobností vyskytovaly na okraji pole. Byl zkoumán rovněž poměr v zastoupení archeofytů, neofytů a druhů autochtonních, který však neukázal žádný signifikantní rozdíl. Při srovnání okraje a středu pole na základě průměrných Ellenbergových indikačních hodnot se jako statisticky významné ukázaly hodnoty pro světlo, vlhkost, půdní reakci a živiny. Dále nebyla potvrzena domněnka, že se ve středu pole vyskytují úžeji stanovištně specializované druhy větší měrou než na okraji (kde by tak převládaly druhy obsazující širší spektrum biotopů). Byl prokázán signifikantní vliv sezóny na beta diverzitu v rámci jednotlivých dvojic snímků. Pro střed pole nebyl zjištěn výskyt žádného druhu speciálně adaptovaného na podmínky uprostřed pole. V případě okraje pole to byly např. druhy Elymus repens, Convolvulus arvensis nebo Adonis aestivalis. Poslední částí byl floristický výzkum, během něhož bylo nalezeno několik regionálně i národně vzácných druhů plevelů (např. Adonis flammea, Erysimum repandum, Galium tricornutum, Hibiscus trionum nebo Nigella arvensis).

Abstract:

This study deals with the weed vegetation and flora of southeastern part of Znojmo region, which have not been studied yet systematically. The field study was conducted during the growing seasons between 2010 and 2012. The study was divided into three parts. In the first part I analyzed 103 relevés to describe the diversity of weed vegetation. Modified TWINSPAN algorithm was used to classify the vegetation into five relevé groups, for which diagnostic, constant and dominant species were determined. Subsequently, relevé groups were characterized textually. Based on the results of DCA, the main gradient in species composition of the studied vegetation was interpreted as common gradient of season and crop type. The second, main objectice of this work was to identify the factors affecting differences in species richness and composition of weed vegetation field interior and field margin. This analysis was based on 103 pairs of reléves. The analysis showed that the edges of fields are species richer compared to their centres. Fields margins are richer in geophytes and hemicryptophytes compared to field interiors where terophytes dominate. The most common life strategy in field interiors is CS-strategy, other represented strategies are more common field margins. No significant difference in representation of archeophytes, neophytes and native species has been found. A comparison based on Ellenberg indicator values showed statistically significant difference in light, moisture, nutrients and soil reaction values. The assumption that habitat specialists will be more represented in field interiors has been supported. Significant effect of season on beta diversity within each pair of relevés was identified. No field core specialist has been found, while Elymus repens, Convolvulus arvensis or Adonis aestivalis were identified as field edge specialists. The last part of study was floristic research. I found several weed species rare in the region and the whole Czech Republic, including Adonis flammea, Erysimum repandum, Galium tricornutum, Hibiscus trionum and Nigella arvensis.
