Hydronymy of Opava River Basin

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá hydronymy povodí řeky Opavy, která jsou excerpovaná ze čtyř mapových pramenů - současných i historických. Tento celek je následně zpracován podle projektu Hydronymia Slovaciae, který je součástí většího celku Hydronymia Europaea. První část práce je orientována teoreticky. Zabývá se charakteristikou základních principů hydronymie, dále zkoumanou oblastí a výkladem samotného hydronyma Opava. Praktická část představuje strukturovaný heslář vytvořený z excerpovaných hydronym a jejich podrobení vztahově-modelové a lexikálně-sémantické analýze. V práci se také nachází didaktická kapitola, ve které jsou získané poznatky aplikovány na výuku studentů SŠ.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on hydronyms of the Opava river basin which are excerpted from four map sources - contemporary and historical. This unit is then processed according to the Hydronymia Slovaciae project, which is part of the Hydronymia Europaea. The first part of the work is theoretically oriented. It deals with the characteristics of the basic principles of hydronymy, as well as the researched area and an interpretation of the Opava hydronym itself. The practical part presents a structured lexicon created from excerpted hydronyms and their relational-model and lexical-semantic analysis. The thesis contains a didactic chapter too. The chapter describes how the acquired knowledge is applied during lessons for high school students.
