Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou stavu mediální gramotnosti a úrovně interpersonálních a komunikačních dovedností u vysokoškolských studentů sociální pedagogiky. V teoretické části práce jsou charakterizovány základní pojmy jako jsou gramotnosti a kompetence a je reflektována výchova vedoucí k získání mediální gramotnosti (zejména periodizace mediální výchovy, jsou nastíněny její perspektivy v České republice a současně je diskutováno působení nových médií). Dále je popsán komunikační proces, jeho funkce a typologie. Součástí teoretické části práce je charakteristika sociální pedagogiky jako studijního oboru a samostatná kapitola je věnována samotné profesi sociálního pedagoga. Cílem empirické části práce je zjistit souvislost mezi úrovní komunikačních dovedností v jednotlivých oblastech a mezi úrovní znalostí mediální gramotnosti a postojů respondentů v jejich důvěře k médiím. Výzkumné studie se zúčastnilo 128 respondentů z pedagogických fakult z celé ČR. Souvislost byla zjištěna mezi úrovní komunikačních dovedností v oblasti hodnocení druhých a přijímání kritiky a u respondentů, kteří mají nižší důvěru v média. Výsledky ukazují nutnost revize studijních plánů oborů sociální pedagogiky a potřebu zařazení většího počtu kurzů se zaměřením na mediální výchovu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with problematic of a state of media literacy and level of interpersonal and communication abilities among the university students of social education. Basic concepts are characterized in the theoretical part, such as literacy, competence and reflection of education leading to gain of media literacy (especially the periodization of media education, perspective outlines in the Czech Republic together with the influences of a new media). Further, the communication process, its function and typology is described. The characteristics of a social education as a studying programme and a standalone chapter devoted to the profession of a social worker are both parts of a theoretical part. The goal of an empiric part of the thesis is to find out the connections between the levels of a communication abilities in each area and between the level of knowledge of media literacy and stances of respondents focused on confidence in media. There were 128 respondents from faculties of education all over the Czech Republic attending this research. A connection was found between the levels of communication abilities in the area of evaluation of others and criticism acceptance and by the respondents, who trust media less. The results are showing the need of revision of studying plans of a social education programme and the need for inclusion of higher number of courses with a media education focus.
