Medical rehabilitation in patients with vertebrogenic algic syndrome

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with therapeutic rehabilitation using the method of sensorimotor stimulation in patients with vertebrogenic algic syndrome. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the effect of approximately one week of intensive rehabilitation in the in-patient rehabilitation department on changes in body posture, body statics, subjective perception of pain and changes in the function of deep muscles and muscles which are involved in stabilization process of pelvis. The observed group consisted of nineteen patients, while the vertebropaths were divided into two groups. One research group consisted of patients who were treated conservatively and the other group consisted of patients after spine surgery. Individual values and parameters obtained by the initial and exit examination were processed and evaluated statistically. The results of the diploma thesis show that the selected therapeutic rehabilitation has a significant positive effect on posture, body statics and subjective perception of pain. A statistically significant effect was not demonstrated to improve the function of the deep muscles and the muscles which were involved in stabilizing the pelvis.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá liečebnou rehabilitáciou s využitím metódy senzomotorickej stimulácie u pacientov s vertebrogénnym algickým syndrómom. Cieľom práce je zhodnotiť efekt približne týždennej intenzívnej rehabilitácie na lôžkovom rehabilitačnom oddelení na zmenu držania tela, statiku tela, subjektívne vnímanie bolesti a na zmenu funkcie hlbokého stabilizačného systému a svalov, ktoré sa podieľajú na stabilizácii panvy. Sledovaný súbor tvorilo dokopy deväťnásť pacientov, pričom vertebropati boli rozdelení do dvoch skupín. Jeden výskumný súbor tvorili pacienti, ktorí boli liečení konzervatívne a druhú skupinu tvorili pacienti po operácii chrbtice. Jednotlivé hodnoty a parametre získané vstupným a výstupným vyšetrením boli spracované a vyhodnotené štatisticky. Z výsledkov diplomovej práce vyplýva, že zvolená liečebná rehabilitácia má významný pozitívny efekt na držanie tela, statiku tela a subjektívne vnímanie bolesti. Štatisticky významný efekt nebol preukázaný na zlepšenie funkcie hlbokého stabilizačného systému a svalov, ktoré sa podieľajú na stabilizácii panvy.
