Author's theatre with a non-professional ensemble - theory, practice and methodology

Abstract:

Magisterská práce se dělí na tři části: - teoreticko-historiografická část zkoumá historické i současné podloží autorského a alternativního divadla, které pracuje se znakovostí, vycházející z aktuálního dění a z performerů, hledání aktuálních témat, která souborem a komunitou rezonují; klade si otázky nad funkčností a reálnými možnostmi promlouvání k divadelně nevzdělanému divákovi, jeho výchově a rozšiřování schopnosti vnímat jinou než činoherní, iluzivní formu divadla - praktická část, v níž představuji svoji dosavadní tvorbu převážně pro divadlo Druhý Pád v Brně, texty, ze kterých jsem vycházela, metody a konkrétní cvičení, která jsem použila, texty, které se staly produktem zkušebního procesu, inscenace, které byly nazkoušeny; zmapuji jakým způsobem se v průběhu času měnila znakovost zmíněných inscenací a moje práce s herci - plán na divadelní projekt, nástin tématu na doktorské studium; tato část se věnuje spojení obou předchozích částí; poslední dobou ve mně postupně roste a dozrává koncept divadelního projektu, který si klade za cíl nalézt znakovost, která bude posouvat divákovu schopnost vnímání divadla a divadelnosti, aniž by ke čtení tvaru potřeboval komplexní divadelní nebo alespoň obecné umělecké vzdělání.

Abstract:

This MA thesis is divided into three parts: - theoretical-historiographic part examines author´s and alternative theatre base (contemporary and historic both), that works with sign system which emerges from actual events and the performers themselves, as well as searching for current topics, which resonates with the ensemble and the community both; the first part of the thesis also contemplates over functionality and real possibilities of approach to a theatrically uneducated spectator, educating them and widening their point of view and ability to read the less classical and less common non-illusive forms of theatre - practical part in which I introduce my artwork so far, which was mostly for the Druhý Pád theatre based in Brno, texts that were my starting points, methods and concrete exercises I used, texts which are a product of the rehearsing process, productions that have been done; I examine the change of sign system of said productions and the change of my work with actors through the time - theatrical project plan – an outline of my intended PhD. degree topic: this part of thesis connects (and somehow concludes) the two previous parts; a theatrical project concept grows in me lately, one that aims for sign system which will push the spectator and his ability to perceive and read theatre and theatricality even when the said spectator is uneducated in theatre or other art fields.
