Abstract:
This diploma thesis is devoted to the work of Sarah Kane. Sarah Kane represented British drama of the 1990?s, which was distinguished by violence, cruelty and vulgar language on stage. This dramatic movement is sometimes called in-yer-face theatre. The thesis introduces the term in-yer-face theatre, the personage of Sarah Kane and it analyzes three of her plays. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá životem a dílem britské dramatičky Sarah Kane. Kane patří k hlavním představitelům britského dramatu devadesátých let dvacátého století, které se vyznačuje násilím, nahotou a vulgárním jazykem.
