The Criminalistics´ Identification of Persons

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o problematice kriminalistické identifikace osob. Úvodem okrajově popisuje oblast kriminalistické vědy a kriminalistické identifikace. Následně velmi podrobně analyzuje možnosti metody portrétní identifikace včetně její aktuální situace. V rámci této metody je zpracovaný návod, který je posléze možné využít pro začínající pracovníky za účelem sestavování identikitů pomocí výpočetní techniky. Prostřednictvím získaných poznatků z praktické činnosti je práce doplněna návrhem možného vylepšení uživatelského prostředí softwaru k sestavování identikitů. V závěru práce hodnotí úspěšnost sestavování identikitů v činnosti kriminalistické identifikace osob.

Abstract:

The master thesis deals with the issue of criminal identification of persons. The introductory part describes marginally the field of forensic science and forensic identification. It then analyzes the possibilities of portrait identification methods in great detail, including its current situation. As part of this process, there is a guide that can be later used for novice workers to create identikits with the use of computer technology. With the knowledge learned from practical activities, the work is complemented by a proposal for a possible enhancement of the user environment of the software for assembling identikits. In the conclusion of the thesis, the identification of identikits is evaluated in terms of success in the activities of criminal identification of persons.
