The course of the function: solving tasks at various degrees of education

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou vyšetřování průběhu funkce na různých stupních škol. Cílem práce bylo vyhledat a seřadit úlohy různé náročnosti, které vyžadují od řešitele rozdílné znalosti a dovednosti. Úlohy byly vyhledávány v učebnicích a sbírkách pro základní, střední a vysokou školu. Byly specifikovány znalosti, které daná úlohy vyžaduje v závislosti na stupni školy. V práci je ilustrováno, jak chybějící poznatky limitují řešitele při řešení úloh o průběhu funkce a jak rozšiřující se matematický aparát umožňuje řešení komplexnějších úloh.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the course of the function and corresponding exercises on different school levels. This work aims to find and order these exercises according to its difficulty with different needs for knowledge and skills. The exercises are taken from coursebooks for primary schools, secondary schools, and universities. Apart from the exercises, the thesis presents and specifies knowledge which is needed to solve various exercises on different school levels. Moreover, the thesis illustates how lack of knowledge limits learners during the investigation of the course of function and how advanced mathematical methods enable solving more complex tasks.
