Topology of Key Components for the Student Project Electric Quad

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je navrhnout topologii klíčových komponentů elektrické čtyřkolky splňující bezpečnostní požadavky vycházející z pravidel Formula SAE. Elektrická čtyřkolka je jedním ze studentských projektů, které v současné době probíhají na Fakultě elektrotechnické Západočeské univerzity v Plzni. První kapitola této práce je věnována rešerši stávajících pravidel Formula SAE, kterých je nutné se držet při následných rozvahách a návrhu samotné topologie. Dále jsou na základě znalostí pravidel Formula SAE definovány a vybrány klíčové komponenty, kterými bude čtyřkolka osazena. Je také proveden návrh komunikace těchto komponentů a jednotlivých řídících jednotek v rámci celého systému. Práce obsahuje také základní analýzu poruch a jejich následků, tzv. FMEA analýzu. Uvedeny jsou možné poruchové stavy, které mohou při provozu čtyřkolky nastat, jejich možné důsledky a způsoby, jakými je nutné tyto stavy řešit. Na základě těchto dílčích kroků je v poslední části práce navržena topologie klíčových komponentů elektrické čtyřkolky, která splňuje základní bezpečnostní požadavky dané pravidly Formula SAE a zároveň zohledňuje vlastnosti, jimiž čtyřkolka disponuje, a další specifické nároky, které byly na projekt čtyřkolky kladeny. Předkládaná diplomová práce je jednou z prvních dvou prací, které v rámci projektu elektrické čtyřkolky vznikly. V následujících letech tedy bude nutné na tuto práci dále navázat konkrétními návrhy a realizacemi jednotlivých částí elektrické čtyřkolky.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to design the topology of the key components of an electric quad that meets the safety requirements based on the Formula SAE rules. The electric quad is one of the student projects which are currently in progress at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of West Bohemia. The first chapter of this thesis is dedicated to the researching of the current Formula SAE rules, which must be respected during subsequent considerations and the design of the topology itself. Furthermore, on the basis of knowledge of the Formula SAE rules, the key components which the quad will be equipped are defined and selected. The design of the communication of these components and control units within the entire system is also performed. The thesis also contains a basic analysis of faults and their consequences, the so-called FMEA analysis. Possible fault conditions that may occur during the operation of the quad, their possible consequences and the ways how to solve these conditions are listed. Based on these partial steps, the topology of the key components of the electric quad is designed in the last part of the thesis. The topology meets basic safety requirements given by the Formula SAE rules and at the same time takes into account further specific requirements on the project of the electric quad and further features which the quad has. The presented diploma thesis is one of the first two theses which is created as part of the electric quad project. In the following years, it will be necessary to follow up on this diploma thesis with specific designs and realizations of individual parts of the electric quad.
