Abstract:

Genderová rovnost ve sportovním prostředí je v současném diskurzu jedním z témat současné společnosti. Stále větší pozornost je zaměřena na zajištění spravedlivého zastoupení a příležitostí pro všechna pohlaví. Tato práce zkoumá začlenění genderových kvót do stanov Českého olympijského výboru (ČOV) jako prostředek k řešení genderových rozdílů ve vedoucích pozicích v oblasti sportu. Výzkum vycházel z hloubkových rozhovorů s místopředsedy ČOV, kontextu, právní rámce a dalších faktorů utvářejících debatu o genderových kvótách ve sportovním prostředí. Tato práce přispívá k širšímu diskursu o genderové inkluzi ve sportovním prostředí a nabízí pohled na strategii pro podporu větší diverzity a inkluzivity v ČOV. V konečném důsledku se tento výzkum snaží informovat o doporučeních, založených na poznatcích zaměřených na prosazování rovnosti žen a mužů ve světě a posilování účasti a vedení žen ve vedení sportu na národní úrovni.

Abstract:

Gender equality in sports governance has emerged as a crucial issue in contemporary discourse, with increasing attention directed towards ensuring equitable representation and opportunities for all genders. This thesis investigates the integration of gender quotas into the statutes of the Czech Olympic Committee (COC) as a means to address gender disparities in sports leadership roles. Drawing upon a mixed-methods approach with in-depth interviews, this research examines the context, legal framework, and sociocultural factors shaping the debate surrounding gender quotas in sports governance. By critically evaluating the efficacy of gender quotas in promoting gender equity and representation within the COC, this thesis contributes to the broader discourse on gender inclusion in sports governance and offers insight into strategy for fostering greater diversity and inclusivity within COC Ultimately, this research seeks to inform evidence-based policy recommendations aimed at advancing gender equality and enhancing women's participation and leadership in sports administration at the national level.
