Human papillomavirus - risk of carcinoma and other human diseases

Abstract:

Papillomaviruses are non-enveloped CdsDNA viruses that cause hyperproliferative lesions of cutaneous, and mucosal epithelium in humans and animals. Papillomaviruses are highly prevalent worldwide, and their transmission is very easy. Their prevalence is large, and because of their ability to infect both skin and mucosa, they can cause different diseases on different body parts. In spite of that the papillomaviruses are high prevalent, some of their characteristics and for example even the process by which they gets into the cell, are not still fully understood. They induce or support development of a big variety of diseases, what supports their importance.

Abstract:

Papillomavírusy sú neobalené CdsDNA vírusy, ktoré spôsobujú hyperproliferatívne lézie kožného a slizničného epitelu ako u ľudí, tak aj u zvierat. Papillomavírusy majú vysokú rozšírenosť po celkom svete a ich prenos je veľmi jednoduchý. Ich prevalencia je obrovská a vďaka ich schopnosti napádať ako pokožku, tak aj sliznice, môžu spôsobovať rôzne ochorenia na rôznych častiach tela. Napriek tomu, že sú papilomavírusy veľmi rozšírené, niektoré ich vlastnosti a napríklad aj spôsob akým sa dostávajú do bunky nie sú stále úplne vyjasnené. Spôsobujú alebo podporujú rozvoj veľkého množstva rozličných ochorení, čo len podporuje ich dôležitosť.
