Abstract:

VOJT, Maroš. Competent profile of chosen position in hospitality or tourism [Master´s Dissertation] The institute of Hospitality Management The title of my thesis is the Competency profile of certain profession in hospitality or tourism. This theme offers a new perspective on the features and capabilities a good manager should have. Within the fulfillment of the objective of this thesis is the work divided into two parts: at first I collect the theoretical, methodological knowledge of competences and later create a competency model based on a questionnaire and interview. Presently, it is very important to create space and opportunities to enable the growth and development of professional competence. It includes professional behaviour patterns, beliefs and social conscience as well as some specific forms of culture in professional workplace. The following methods and approaches are considered effective: use of trainings, experimental education, which further develop social and psychological competence and then lead to additional professional competence enhancement. In this paper I will examine which competencies are the most important for the executive manager. The goal of the master thesis is establishing the competence profile, which I adjust for the executive manager of a hotel.

Praha 2015 Názov mojej diplomovej práce je kompetenčný profil vybranej profesie v hotelníctve alebo cestovnom ruchu. Táto téma ponúka nový pohľad na to, aké vlastnosti a schopnosti má dobrý manažér mať. V rámci naplnenia cieľa diplomovej práce je práca rozdelená do dvoch častí. V prvej zbieram teoretické, metodologické, znalosti o kompetenciách a v druhej vytváram kompetenčný model na základe dotazníku a rozhovoru. V súčasnosti je veľmi dôležité vytvárať priestor pre rozvoj profesijnej kompetencie. Zahŕňa v sebe vzorce profesionálneho správania sa, zmýšľanie a sociálne cítenie, špecifické formy kultúry profesionálnej práce. Za efektívne považujem využívať tréningy, experimentálne učenie, ktoré účinne rozvíjajú sociálne a psychologické kompetencie manažérov, ktoré potom vedú k posilneniu ich profesijnej kompetencie. V tejto práci budem skúmať ktoré kompetencie sú najdôležitejšie pre výkonného manažéra. Cieľom diplomovej práce teda bude vytvoriť kompetenčný profil, ktorý prispôsobím na výkonného manažéra hotelu.
