A Comparative Analysis of the Novel and Film 'The Painted Bird'
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu a srovnání románu „Nabarvené ptáče“ od autora polského původu Jerzyho Kosińského se stejnojmennou filmovou adaptací režiséra Václava Marhoula. Práce sleduje samotný život autora románu, který je považován za kontroverzní osobu, a popisuje rozdíly mezi jednotlivými díly a jejich osudy ve světě a v Polsku.
Abstract:
The bachelor’s thesis deals with analysis and comparison of the novel “The Painted Bird” by a Polish author Jerzy Kosiński with a film adaptation of the same name made by Václav Marhoul. The thesis observes the novel author’s life itself who is considered to be a controvesial person. It also describes the differences between the two pieces of work and their stories in Poland and whole world.
