The development of natural change of the evangelic population of Těšín in the 2nd half of the 19th century

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat měnící se trend přirozené měny evangelického obyvatelstva města Těšín v letech 1851 - 1905. Při vypracovávání práce byla použita dosavadní literatura k tématu a důraz byl kladen zejména na excerpci údajů z církevních matrik. Na základě zjištěných počtů sňatků, narozených a zesnulých byly provedeny základní historicko ? statistické výpočty. Sledovaná oblast byla historickým správním centrem celého regionu Těšínska s přítomností institucí s nadregionálním rozsahem. Těšín byl také důležitým centrem evangelické víry a učenosti v Rakouském Slezsku, žila zde velmi početná populace protestantů, kterou se budu ve své práci zabývat.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to depict a changing trend of Protestant population development in Cieszyn during the years 1851 - 1905. Previous literature was used as the resource with an emphasis on records from the church registers. On the grounds of ascertained number of marriages, births and deaths some basic historical statistics calculations were made. The region monitored in this thesis used to be a historical administrative centre of the whole Cieszyn area with the importance reaching the neighbouring regions. Cieszyn was also an important centre of the protestant knowledge which is one of the topics of this thesis.
