Proposal of adaptation of Lázně Toušeň to climate change manifestations

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku probíhající změny klimatu a s tím spojenou nutnost zavedení adaptačních opatření obcí. Cílem této práce je vyhodnocení současného stavu vlivu klimatu v obci Lázně Toušeň a návrh vhodné adaptace na projevy klimatické změny. Teoretická část diplomové práce je věnována charakteristice klimatu, vysvětlení termínu změna klimatu, jaké jsou projevy změn, jaká rizika to může přinést a možností provádění adaptačních opatření. Informace byly převážně čerpány z dostupné odborné literatury. V praktické části je v návaznosti na teoretické poznatky vypracován návrh adaptačních opatření pro zvolenou obec. Za použití kvantitativní metody byl proveden průzkum v obci, a to názorové šetření respondentů na téma projevů změny klimatu a osobního přístupu k této problematice. Dále byl kvalitativním šetřením proveden průzkum na úrovni samosprávy obce. Výzkum byl také doplněn vlastním šetřením dané lokality, nestandardizovaným pozorováním doplněným vlastní fotodokumentací. Z vypracovaných výsledků bude navržen možný postup pro zlepšení stavu obce při nadále trvajících projevech klimatických změn.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the issue of ongoing climate changes and the associated need to introduce adaptation measures of municipalities. The aim of this work is to evaluate the current state of climate influence in the village of Lázně Toušeň and to propose a suitable adaptation to the manifestations of climate change. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is devoted to the characteristics of climate, the explanation of the term climate change, what are the manifestations of changes, what risks this can bring and the possibilities of implementing adaptation measures. The information was mostly drawn from the available professional literature. In the practical part, in connection with theoretical knowledge, a proposal for adaptation measures for the selected municipality is developed. Using a quantitative method, a survey was conducted in the municipality, namely a survey of respondents on the topic of manifestations of climate change and a personal approach to this issue. Furthermore, a qualitative survey was conducted to conduct a survey at the municipal level. The research was also supplemented by my own survey of the relevant location, non-standardized observations supplemented by my photo documentation. From the developed results, a possible procedure will be proposed for the improvement of the condition of the municipality during the continuing manifestations of climate change.
