City park on defunct structures

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o městském parku jakož to významné součásti měst. Je dána do kontextu s vývojem společnosti a sídla. Zároveň se věnuje zaniklým, opuštěným urbánním prostorům a opomíjeným částem měst, a tomu, jak jejich rekonstrukcí můžeme život ve městě pozvednout na lepší úroveň, zlepšit mikroklimatické podmínky měst a podpořit tak sociální život obyvatel. Získané poznatky z literární části jsou následně aplikovány na zvolené modelové území, kterým je Vránův mlýn v Břeclavi. Společně s analýzami jsou zapracovány do možného řešení nově navrhované parku.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the subject of the city park as an essential part of cities. It puts it in context with the development of society and settlements. It focuses on defunct, abandoned urban areas, and neglected parts of cities, and how their reconstruction can bring up life to a better level, improve the microclimatic conditions, and help the social life of its citizens. It applies the acquired knowledge from the literal part to the model area of Vránův mlýn in Břeclav. Together with the analysis are implemented to the proposed design for the newly planned park.
