Third piano concerto by Bela Bartok

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o životě a díle významného maďarského hudebního skladatele Bély Bartóka. Zabývá se hudebními styly, které ovlivnily skladatelovu tvorbu, a to zejména východní lidovou hudbou, jejíž prvky pronikly přímo do Bartókovy tvorby. Práce se dále zaobírá tvůrčími kompozičními postupy tohoto skladatele a uvádí příklady jeho stěžejního díla neofolklorismu a neoklasicismu. Pozornost je rovněž věnována klavírní tvorbě. Stěžejní částí této práce je hudební analýza třetího klavírního koncertu, významné kompozice hudby 20. století. Analýza obsahuje podrobný rozbor všech tří vět koncertu a je provedena na základě hudebně – teoretických hudebních znalostí. Práce může být využita na konzervatořích a vysokých hudebních školách s hudebním zaměřením.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the life and the artwork of a great Hungarian composer Bela Bartok. It depicts musical styles which influenced composer´s work, particularly the eastern folk music of which elements penetrated into Bartok´s music. The thesis illustrates creative compositional methods of Bartok and exemplifies the most important works of his neofolklorism and neoclassicism. The attention is given to the piano work as well. The thesis is focused on musical analysis of the Third Piano Concerto, a remarkable composition of the twentieth century music. This part of the thesis includes a detailed analysis of all three movements and it is based on the knowledge of musical theory. This thesis may have a use for students studying music at the conservatories and universities.
