Dalo by se říci, že film je ,,tzv. pomníčkem?. Dal by se nazvat i filmem politickým, jelikož se zabývá lidmi, kterým běh věcí veřejných nebyl lhostejný.Ve filmu nejde o žádnou biografii. Jan Hus - A Mass for Three Dead Men updates the legacy of the medieval reformist priest known also as John Hus. Yet writer and director Miroslav Bambušek is film takes place in the late twentieth century and relates to history in what has been more recently known as the Eastern Bloc.
