This bachelor thesis analyzes three novels by the contemporary Finnish author Pasi Ilmari Jääskeläinen and focuses on the nature of fantastical elements used in them. In the first part, it defines the necessary terminology from the field of fantastic literature and presents two main theories (Tzvetan Todorov's and Nancy Traill's), with the help of which it then categorizes fantastical elements in Jääskeläinen …more
