Abstract:
Jedním z důvodů, proč jsem psala o starých lidech, byl můj obdiv k nim. Vážím si jejich moudrosti, odvahy a porozumění, s kterým prošli životní zkušenosti. U většiny z nich bývá více smutku než radosti, více trpkosti než odpuštění. Je smutné, že jen málokteří z nich si „okořenili“ humorem a životním nadhledem poslední roky života. One of the reasons why I have chosen to write my study about old people is that I admire them. I appreciate their wisdom, courage and understanding, with which they have got through the life experience. Most of them have met more grief than joy, more bitterness than forgiveness.
