The attitude of czech society towards the position of women in the labour market

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá postoji společnosti k postavení žen na trhu práce. Teoretická část je zaměřena na problematiku rovnosti žen a mužů. Nejdříve jsou popisovány základní pojmy gender a pohlaví, genderové stereotypy a osvojování genderových rolí. Dále jsou interpretovány podmínky postavení žen na současném trhu práce, rovné příležitosti žen a mužů, možnosti uplatnění žen na pracovním trhu a propojení pracovního a rodinného života. Teoretická část práce definuje také rovnost a rovné zacházení, dále diskriminaci a její členění a jsou zde uvedeny okolnosti ovlivňující tento fenomén. Praktická část práce je zaměřena na kvantitativní výzkum, který zkoumá postoje respondentů k postavení žen na trhu práce, jejich vnímání pracovních pozic žen a mužů a také zkušenosti s diskriminací. Získané poznatky byly analyzovány a jsou vyhodnoceny v závěru práce včetně grafického znázornění.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the attitudes of society towards the status of women in the labor market. The teoretical part is focused on issues of gender equality. First are described the basic concepts of gender and sex, gender stereotypes and acquisition of the gender roles. Then are interpreted conditions of the status of women in the current labor market, equal opportunities for women and men, chances to employment of women at work and a connection between work and a family life. The theoretical part also defines equality and equal treatment, discrimination and its structure and there are listed circumstances that affect this phenomenon. The practical part is focused on quantitative research that examines the attitudes of respondents to the status of women in the labor market, their perception of the work positions of women and men there and experience with discrimination too. Findings of the research have been analyzed and are evaluated including graphic representation at the end of this thesis.
