Motivation and job satisfaction of police officers of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je věnována tématu motivace a spokojenosti příslušníků Policie České republiky, která ovlivňuje policisty nejen v jejich každodenním zaměstnání, ale také v rozhodování, zdali u Policie České republiky setrvat či nikoliv. V teoretické části jsou definovány pojmy jako motivace, motiv, stimulace, popsány motivační faktory a uvedeny teorie motivace. Další kapitoly jsou zaměřeny na problematiku stresu a syndromu vyhoření, který může úzce souviset s fluktuací policistů. V praktické části je nastíněn Zákon o služebním poměru příslušníků bezpečnostních sborů, který má vliv nejen na služební příjem policistů, ale také na získávání benefitů. V práci je dále vyhodnocen dotazník zaměřený na míru motivace a stresu u policie. Na základě dotazníku jsou stanoveny hypotézy a navržena řešení k problému motivace a spokojenosti policistů.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis is devoted to the topic of motivation and job satisfaction of police officers of the Czech Republic, which influence policemen not only in their daily work, but also in deciding whether to stay in the employment or not. The theoretical part defines terms such as motivation, motive, stimulation, as well as it describes the motivation factors and theories. The next chapters focus on the issue of job stressors and burn-out syndrome, which may be closely related to the turnover among police officers. The practical part outlines the NationalSecurity Forces Act, which affects not only the income of police officers, but also the acquisition of benefits. The thesis also evaluates a survey focused on the level of motivation and stress of the police members. On its basis, the hypotheses are established and solutions related to the police officer’s motivation and job satisfaction are proposed.
