Strategic development of the company – comparison of expansion options

Abstract:

Nehledě na to, jak je ve svém působení organizace úspěšná, měla by prověřovat, zda neexistuje vhodnější forma jejího podnikání. Majitel společnosti, která je v této práci předmětem zkoumání, dospěl k závěru, že nynější forma působení je nevýhodná a pro firmu je omezující. Cílem této práce je tedy v souladu s požadavky společnosti vypracovat možné varianty expanze a zhodnotit je na základě daného kritéria, konkrétně ziskovosti. Pro účely komparace byla vytvořena modelová situace. Následně byly na základě dat poskytnutých společností vypočteny náklady, příjmy a zisk pro jednotlivé varianty expanze a současný stav. Z porovnání jednotlivých výsledků vyplývá, že současná varianta je nejméně výhodná, a to markantním způsobem. Každá z možností expanze by tudíž splnila požadavky, které si vedení společnosti stanovilo. Pro dosažení nejlepšího možného výsledku je však třeba nalézt vhodnou kombinaci variant, která bude s ohledem na situaci způsobenou pandemií COVID-19 realizovatelná.

Abstract:

No matter how successful an organization is, it should examine whether there is a more appropriate form of business. The owner of the company, which is the subject of research in this work, came to the conclusion that the current form of operation is disadvantageous and restrictive for the company. The aim of this work is, in accordance with the requirements of the company to develop possible variants of expansion and evaluate them on the basis of a given criterion, namely profitability. A model situation was created for comparison purposes. Subsequently, on the basis of data provided by the companies, costs, revenues and profits were calculated for individual expansion variants and the current situation. A comparison of the individual results shows that the current variant is the least advantageous, in a striking way. Each of the expansion options would therefore meet the requirements set by the company's management. However, in order to achieve the best possible result, it is necessary to find a suitable combination of variants that will be feasible with regard to the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
