Telemedicine in the Czech Republic and the new trends in collecting and processing image information in medicine

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Telemedicína v ČR a nové trendy v soustřeďování a zpracování obrazových informací v medicíně“ pojednává o problematice provozování telemedicíny u nás a v zahraničí a jejích možných budoucích vyhlídkách. Práce nám představuje podstatu telemedicíny a jaké jsou její hlavní výhody. Jsou zde uvedeny některé významnější projekty, které dokazují smysluplnost provozování telemedicíny a jejich přínos jak pro širokou veřejnost, tak pro zdravotnické profesionály. Ve spojitosti s telemedicínou tu najdeme také část, věnovanou novým trendům v soustřeďování a zpracování obrazových informací v medicíně, které posunují medicínskou praxi výrazně vpřed. Práce se zároveň částečně věnuje i dalším otázkám, které do jisté míry s provozováním telemedicíny souvisejí a dotýkají se například spolehlivosti medicínských informací na internetu, spolupráce knihovníka s lékařem, nebo otázek spojených s výukou telemedicíny jako možného samostatného studijního programu.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis "Telemedicine in the Czech Republic and the new trends in collecting and processing image information in medicine" deals with applying telemedicine in our country and abroad and its long-term prospects. The thesis describes the principle of telemedicine together with its main advantages. Some important projects proving the usefulness of telemedicine and its contribution to both public and medical professionals are also mentioned. One part of the thesis is dedicated to the new trends in collecting and processing image information in medicine, which are a major step forward in medicine. The thesis also, at least partly, discusses other problems related to telemedicine and its applicability, such as the reliability of medical information on the Internet, the cooperation of a librarian with a doctor, or questions connected with teaching telemedicine as a special study program.
