Perception of sense of life by seniors in institutional care

Anotace:

Diplomová práce s názvem Vnímání smyslu života u seniorů v institucionální péči je zaměřena na analýzu specifik ovlivňujících smysl života u seniorek-žen žijících v domově pro seniory. V teoretické části je připomenuta základní charakteristika životního období stárnutí a stáří, dále informace o péči o seniory a poslední kapitolou je vnímání samotného smyslu života. Empirická část obsahuje 7 polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s respondentkami, které jsou analyzovány metodou interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy. Výsledkem analýzy jsou interpretace vnímání smyslu života jednotlivých seniorek, tyto interpretace jsou rozděleny do šesti témat, které z analýzy vzešly.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis called Perception of the meaning of life by seniors in institutional care is focused on analyzing specifics affecting the meaning of life among seniors-women who live in the retirement home. In the theoretical part of the thesis there is introduced. the basic characteristics of the period of life in old age, as well as information about the care of the elderly and the last chapter is the perception of the sense of life. The empirical part of the thesis contains 7 half-structured interviews with respondents, which are analyzed by the method of interpretative phenomenological analysis. The outcome of this research work is the interpretation of the sense of life perception of individual seniors, these interpretations are divided into six themes that came out from the analysis.
