The effect of glass and jewellery production on formation of regional identity of inhabitants of the Jablonec nad Nisou region

Abstract:

Práce pojednává o vnímání obyvatel sklářského a bižuterního průmyslu na Jablonecku. V úvodní části se práce zabývá vymezením základních pojmů regionální identity a průběhem jejího vytváření. Poté je popsána problematika percepce prostoru a vznik mentálních map. Následuje představení samotného regionu Jablonecka z pohledu sklářství a bižuterie, pohled do historie a přehled bižuterie na zmiňovaném území a vymezení zájmového území pro tvorbu mentálních map s dotazovanými. Dále je již práce zaměřena na kvalitativní analýzu regionálního i celostátního tisku a webových stránek obcí. Představuje tvorbu internetového dotazníku, zpracování mentálních map vzniklých během strukturovaného rozhovoru a internetového šetření. Na základě toho pak podává percepci zvoleného prostoru na Jablonecku.

Abstract:

Thesis deals with the perception of the inhabitants of glass and jewelery industry in the Jablonec. In the first part it deals with the basic concepts of regional identity and the process of its creation. Then described the perception of space and the creation of mental maps. Following the presentation of the region in terms of Jablonec glass and jewelery, insight into the history and overview of jewelry on the mentioned territory and defining the area of interest for creating mental maps of the interviewees. Further work is already focused on the qualitative analysis of the regional and national press and website communities. It represents the creation of an Internet questionnaire, treatment of mental maps incurred during a structured interview and an online survey. On that basis, it gives the perception of a selected area in Jablonec.
