Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá pohľadom mainstreamových médií na problematiku policajnej brutality voči Afroameričanom, pričom analyzuje a porovnáva spôsoby, akými sa v médiách písalo o dvoch prípadoch policajného násilia. This bachelor’s diploma thesis discusses the mainstream media perception of police brutality against African Americans by analysing and comparing the media narratives used for writing about two cases of police violence. The first case is the beating of Rodney King that happened in Los Angeles in 1991, and the second case is the recent death of Eric Garner in New York in 2014. Both of these incidents …more
