HDL and LDL cholesterol versus apoproteins

Abstract:

Poslední dobou se stále více objevují poznatky o tom, že stanovování apoproteinů jako markerů rizika kardiovaskulárních chorob nebo metabolického syndromu je lepší a má větší využití než dříve používané markery jako celkový cholesterol, LDL a HDL cholesterol. Cílem mé bakalářské práce tedy bylo zhodnotit výhody a nevýhody dříve používaných markerů, jejich omezený význam v předpovědi rizika kardiovaskulárních onemocnění a výhody a nevýhody nově používaných markerů, tedy proč je někdy lepší stanovit koncentraci apoproteinů než koncentraci celkového cholesterolu, LDL a HDL cholesterolu.

Abstract:

Recently more and more evidence emerging that the determination of apoproteins as markers of risk of cardiovascular disease or metabolic syndrome it is better and has greater use than previously used markers such as total cholesterol, LDL and HDL cholesterol. Therefore, the goal of this work was to evaluate advantages and disadvantages of the previously used markers, their limited importance in predicting the risk of cardiovascular disease, and the advantages and disadvantages of new markers used, that is why it is sometimes better to determine the concentration of apoproteins than the concentration of total cholesterol, LDL and HDL cholesterol.
