Indication for cataract surgery

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se skládá ze dvou částí, první, která se zabývá anatomií a fyziologií oční čočky, základními typy jejího zakalení nebo subjektivně vnímanými projevy. Další kapitoly se věnují diagnostice, indikacím a kontraindikacím k operaci katarakty. Poslední kapitola je zaměřená na její chirurgické řešení. Druhá část – praktická se zabývá výzkumným vzorkem, rozložením katarakty v této populaci, hlavní důvody k operaci, či jejími subjektivními projevy. Cílem studie je zjištění vztahu mezi visem a subjektivní spokojeností pacientů s viděním před operací katarakty, nejčastěji se vyskytující typ zakalení a hodnota visu, s kterou pacienti přicházejí do refrakčního centra.

Abstract:

This master‘s thesis is composed from two parts, the first part, which deals anatomy and physiology of cristalline lens, types of cataract and their subjective symptoms. Next chapter devoted to diagnosis, idications and contraindications for cataract surgery. The last theoretical chapter is devoted on cataract surgery. The second part – practical is focused on the study of cataract population, cataract display on this population, the main reason for cataract surgery or it's main symptoms. The aim of this study is finding corellation between visus and patient's subjective satisfaction with their visual functions, the most frequently type of cataract and value of the visus, when patients come to the refraction centre.
